December 28, 2009 - As this year comes to an end, are you seeing this as a year lost versus a year lived? Are you looking at the same resolutions you made at the beginning of this year to be recycled into next year? The problem with resolutions is they focus on what is wrong versus what is right. Resolutions too often are simply supposed solutions that you continue to revisit over and over again, hence the "re" solution.
Take an MM&I Moment to shift from a New Year's resolution mindset to a New Year's evolution mindset. Evolution transforms whereas resolution reforms. Evolution takes you beyond change whereas resolution focuses entirely on change. Evolution focuses on goals whereas resolution focuses on what hasn't happened. So, focus on evolving to where you want to be versus reforming what was and is. Think about what you want versus what you don't want. Then take action to make your ultimate dreams and desires a reality so that next year can be your best year yet!
